Mr. Peter Edward Xavery
Head Agricultural economics and development initiatives
Xavery is a Socio Economist with vast experience for over 40 years in agricultural economics research for development. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this critical role equipping him with a strong foundation in development strategies. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Profitable Ecosystems Restoring Farming an Agricultural based Organization (PERF) where he spearheads efforts to attract funding from foreign and domestic donors for development His professional experience managing agricultural research and development projects on generation of technologies, innovations and out-scaling to farming families, developing and introducing value chain - agricultural products, linking farmers to markets and benchmarking for agricultural competitiveness development.He possesses a Msc in Community Economic Development from the Open University of Tanzania in 2014; a B.A in Development Studies from Kimmage Centre for Development in Ireland and Diploma in Crop Production from Uyole Training Institute, Tanzania. He worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in the Department of research and development as Head of Farming Systems and Socio economics. He has a vast experience in data analysis and report writing using different packages including SPSS & STATA.
Gained multi-cultural experience, interacted with high level policy makers which includesparticipating in developing several policy and frameworks in Tanzania and in the region including the document on Options for Expanding Fertilizer Finance and Investment Across Fertilizer Regional Supply Chains in East African Community (2024)
